Love this park especially in the summer. You can bar b q and hang out with friends and family. Play volleyball while the kids play in the playground area. Pretty clean decent park.
Aside from the park director not really caring about the disc golf course, akitson Park has hands down the best disc golf course in all of Henderson. It's almost always always soggy thanks to the awful drainage and no runoff places for the water to go. Alot of the seats have bolts sticking up just waiting to be sat on. But the actual disc golf course is very nice once you get out of the city park bog.

This place is Safe.People are friendly and minding their own business.They have trails to walk, Bicycle ,play on equipment for kids,Two Baseball field ,Skatebording ramp course,Several Shelters to Cook /Sit and View Ohio River Barges going up and down.People on River , boat ramps to unload boat into water..A Relaxing atmosphere...Love it..
Clean with lots of distance on walking paths. Safe & scenic with the Ohio river in the backdrop.
